star in the dunes
In China, several million people listen to Suzi Wong’s daily
radio showp broadcast from Hong Kong. Suzi’s a real star
and receives tons of emails every day. When she interviewed Chan
who’d taken part in the Marathon des Sables she decided to
take up the challenge of running the race herself. « I
hate running, even walking. The longest I’ve ever walked
is from the recording studio to the toilets ». The MDS
then became a pet subject on her show. She chose 45 listeners and
started the
training sessions in August. Eight of them were selected to run
the MDS with Chan of course as coach. The team are walking together,
suffering a lot for sure, but plan to finish. All of China is watching
Suzi and her friends!
